Maximize YOUR health
Every human is as different as the combination of their makeup of the billions of cells, microbacterial flora and the interaction between all of these cells, bacteria, nutrient intake and all the billions of variables formed from these interactions.
Obviously, there is no single diet, exercise routine, lifestyle, etc., that fits everyone. We have biology and genetics in common, but knowledge of these broad areas is is not enough to help you maximize your personal health and well being.
It is incumbent upon YOU to find what works best for YOU. You cannot rely on a doctor to figure this out for you. Your doctor's job, in western style medicine, is to "fix" what is ailing you. Basically, to give you medical advice based on generalities of most humans, and address acute health situations to save your life. Most western doctors are NOT looking at your individualistic health (even as they might see you as an individual person). Pharmaceutical Companies have capitalized on treating symptoms, rather than curing causes of illness and disease. I am not promoting capitalist conspiracy theory, just pointing out that motivation and reward may have been misdirected with regard to western medicine. Genetic health testing is starting to change some of this, and there is some interesting science that supports some products leveraging natural substances that promote the immune system and longevity.
What is truly amazing to me, is that humans through millions of years of evolution have survived and thrived in many different environments. Our bodies adapted to our natural environment in so many varying ways which we are still far from fully understanding. What our bodies have not had time to adapt and evolve within, is our modern technological world.
Our beliefs about our potential for longevity are changing rapidly. We regularly see people live to 114 years of age, without the help of science and technology. There are many natural things in this world that contribute to our health in ways we never learned or understood. And with our "advancement" we have sanitized ourselves from many of these dirty, inconvenient, or uncomfortable ancient ways. We are rediscovering (and science is validating) that nature has so many of the cures to what ails us. And it isn't "woo-woo" or hokey stuff!
What may seem "out there," today, is tomorrow's scientifically validated medicine. I hope to present to you here many of the latest discoveries, of which your doctor may be unaware or hesitant to present to you. With this new found understanding, you may find (or, I should say, "may you find") a direction toward healing or health. -Glenn
